A family in Songe, Tanzania, is mourning the death of their 13-year-old son, Yosia Benjamini, who died after being attacked by a chicken while he was asleep.
The strange and heartbreaking incident has shocked many people in the Majengo area and beyond.
According to his father, Benjamini Makelo, Yosia was sleeping at home when he suddenly woke up screaming in pain. A chicken had jumped on his bed and started pecking his face and eyes
His mother rushed to help him after hearing his cries. The boy was immediately taken to the hospital for treatment.
